Sitting in my bubble bath, prepping for the US leg of my tour I had some time to do some reflecting this morning. A few things.. 1. Jealousy is an evil disease, and people who don’t want you to succeed will NEVER be willing to see the good in you because they simply do not want to. 2. There are at least three sides to every story, so no matter how convincing the story is, don’t make a buffoon of yourself by believing one side before you’ve heard the rest. And when someone says something, consider the source. They are probably someone with not much experience, not much of a resume, not much integrity and who doesn’t understand that when you sign an NDA it’s legally binding and that they could be in A LOT of trouble. 3. Tearing someone down is never going to make you look better, at the end of the day you will still be made up of the same atoms & it will become painfully obvious why you are where you are in life. 4. Haters are a blessing, you need them to succeed, they build character, they test your strength, they make you fight harder & without them you’re doing something wrong. 5. I would like to issue an apology, not to people who are trying to fabricate stories, tell half truths to destroy my character, but to the people who love and support me. I’m sorry that I sometimes choose to give energy and time to people who aren’t and were never going to support me. Mark my words, I will continue to win, continue to thrive, continue to prosper and do it with integrity and great morals and ethics as I have always done. I’m not going to explain myself to people who are not for me, but will continue to work my ass off for those of you who choose to support this hard working, self made, honest, activist and proud gay/black man. I am so proud of who I am and I refuse to keep defending that. I love everyone, and you are all welcome no matter what race, religion, sexual orientation you are.
